Ten years in jail is not long enough for Daniel Fuller, according to a Surbiton sex worker who was robbed by him and two accomplices with baseball bats.

The 54-year-old, who wished to remain anonymous, said she and 15 other women made statements to police after Fuller's campaign of violent robberies became a "daily occurrence" across south-west London.

She said: "Going to ID parades is so nerve-racking and it brings it all back again. I don't think the sentence is long enough considering he was such a prolific robber. One girl near here was robbed five times."

The woman had been working in her brothel in Surbiton for more than a decade when Daniel Fuller tricked his way in October 2005 posing as a client.

"You have to judge people when they arrive, and when I let him in I wished I hadn't," she said.

"He came into the waiting room and was very aggressive. He went to leave and there were two black guys there holding baseball bats. They came in demanding money and I ended up on the floor.

"They took money and mobile phones and when they left they said thanks girls, we'll see you again.'"

She and her receptionist put a grille on the door and she made a friend collect her from work every day until Fuller was arrested. Fuller returned to the flat twice more, but was not let in.

The woman rejected the suggestion by Fuller's defence lawyers that violence comes with the territory of the sex industry.

She added: "Never in my life had anything like this happened and I have never seen a gun in my life. You think you will be safe in this kind of area in your own premises."
