Children from Shawley Community Primary School went back five centuries on Monday when they exchanged school uniform for Tudor costume.
Over the past few weeks the children have been researching what life was like in Tudor times focusing on food, fashion, health and education as well as Henry VIII and his wives.
Year four teacher Kate Mander said: “They have taken a real interest in learning about Tudor times.”
The children produced elaborate collages using materials they collected themselves.
Some children made models, bringing alive weeks of work and study .
Last Thursday the children visited Hampton Court Palace where they experienced first hand what life was like for both rich and poor.
They learnt some Tudor dances and produced their own newspapers reporting the fate of Anne Boleyn.
