Win! Tickets to Under the Blue Sky

9:20am Tuesday 26th August 2008

Catherine Tate and Francesca Annis lead a stellar cast in Under The Blue Sky, David Eldridge’s award-winning, funny and touching play, currently running at the Duke of York’s Theatre in London’s West End.

The play focuses on three subtly connected love stories that reveal in turn the roller-coaster ride of lust in its prime, the sacrifices of a life in public service, and its unrequited passions.

In the long shadow of the 20th century, Eldridge’s play is a delicate yet truthful depiction of all the degrees of love – from fondness and affection, through the headier extremes of a drunken romp.

It gives us an all-too-recognisable portrayal of the way in which uncertainties, misunderstanding and the unsaid lead to unexpected results for three couples who seem destined never to say the right thing.

The cast includes veteran stage and screen actress Annis, as well as Lisa Dillon (Mary Smith in Cranford), Nigel Lindsay (The Homecoming and Rome), Chris O’Dowd (Roy in Channel 4’s hit comedy series The IT Crowd), Dominic Rowan (A Voyage Around My Father) and, of course, Catherine Tate (The Catherine Tate Show).
