Police swarmed Surbiton station this afternoon after reports of "a group of angry males" causing a disturbance.
A British Transport Police spokesman said: "We were called to Surbiton station shortly after 2pm following reports of a group of men acting aggressively.
"Colleagues from the Metropolitan Police Service attended and arrested a 16-year-old male on suspicion of assaulting a police officer.
"He is currently assisting police with their enquiries."
