The supermarket chain, which owns the former Government land next to Charrington Bowl, has asked Kingston Council for permission to build some 700 homes there, after more than a decade of wrangling.
Long-time residents had mixed reactions when inital designs were shown off last autumn. Many complained the scheme represents over-development.
These images show how the proposed high-rise buildings could look after negotiations between Tesco and the authority.

A spokesman for Spenhill, Tesco's planning arm, said: "We’re committed to delivering the best possible scheme and so have been happy to make some design changes to improve the masterplan and some of the detailed design.
"We now hope to see the application considered by committee in the near future."
