A man in his seventies died in Claremont Road in Surbiton on Sunday night.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing four ambulance cars and a police van at Surbiton station on August 19.
Police were called to the scene by the London Ambulance Service at 11.33pm to reports of a man taken unwell.
Paramedics attempted to resuscitate him, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene at 11.46pm.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We sent a number of resources to the scene including an incident response officer and a single responder in a car.
"Sadly, despite extensive efforts, a person died at the scene."
Metropolitan Police later confirmed the death and said it was not being treated as suspicious.
