Emergency services are on the scene, after a car fire broke out in Kingston Road in Ewell earlier today (October 31).
There is queueing traffic on the A240 in both directions from Stoneleigh Park Road to Salisbury Road.
The car fire has been extinguished and all lanes have reopened at 4.25pm after the road was made safe.
A Surrey Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “We were called at around 3.30pm to a car fire in Kingston Road, Ewell and sent one fire engine to extinguish the fire.”
Reports of the car fire in Stoneleigh first emerged on social media at around 3.35pm today.
One social media user, who drove past the fire on the 406, tweeted a photo of a car on Kingston road opposite the Queen Adelaide pub.
