A fire broke out on a passenger bus on Banstead High Street today (May 27) as a fire crew rushed to attend the blaze.
Surrey Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) said that the fire broke out in the engine of the passenger bus in question after 2pm on Wednesday afternoon.
Responding to a request for comment from the Comet, a spokesperson for the service said:
"We received a call this afternoon around 14.05pm to a report of a vehicle fire on Banstead High Street.
“One fire engine was sent alongside a specialist vehicle, and they arrived at the scene around 14.15pm.
"A small fire had broken out in the engine of a bus, but was out upon the crews arrival."

The SFRS responders have since left the scene.
