Free 30 minute parking was introduced in town centres across Kingston this weekend.
Drivers can now park free of charge at pay and display bays for half an hour in New Malden High Street, St Mark’s Hill in Surbiton

The scheme was launched on Saturday, December 5 during Richmond and Kingston North MP Zac Goldsmith’s London campaign visit to New Malden as the Conservative candidate for mayor of London.
He was joined by Kingston Council leader Kevin Davis and Kingston and Surbiton MP James Berry.

The council planned to introduce controlled parking zones in New Malden in September, but scrapped the plans after a public consultation failed to receive a sufficient enough response.
