Comedian Ed Byrne, who is appearing the Great Comic Relief Bake Off this month, has just been announced as a live act at the Epsom Playhouse.
The Playhouse excitedly welcomed the booking as another sign that Epsom is fast becoming the "comedy hub" of the county. Jimmy Carr appeared here last year and Tim Vine is also lined-up for this June.
During his 20 years in comedy, Byrne has toured the country, sold out many runs at the Edinburgh Fringe and appeared on radio, TV and the big screen.
House manager Fiona Maloney says "little old Epsom" is now attracting big names and features on the comedy circuit.
Ms Maloney says: "The comedians want to come here. It’s becoming the comedy hub of Surrey."
