A baby was among five injured after a bus and a car collided in Tolworth.
The crash happened after midday today in Kingston Road just outside Tolworth station.
A spokesman from Kingston police said: “Police are currently dealing with a road traffic collision involving a bus and a car on Kingston Road.
“A number of lane restrictions are in place whilst police deal with the incident.
“One person is being taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life changing or threatening. This incident is ongoing.”
A spokesman from London Ambulance said: “We were called just before 12.05pm to reports of a collision involving a car and a bus. We sent three ambulance crews and a single responder in a car.
“Staff treated five patients – four adults and a baby who were all on the bus.
“A woman who was suffering back pain was taken to St George’s Hospital. The others had minor injuries and were taken to Kingston Hospital.”
Kingston Road was closed southbound by Jubilee Way towards the A3 and bus routes were on diversion.
UPDATE (3.45pm): A240 Kingston Rd has re-opened at Tolworth, as have the exit slip roads from the A3 to the Tolworth Rbt following the earlier collision.
