Ex-servicemen and women will don their old military uniforms and medals for Armed Forces Day this Saturday, writes Gabriela Kerezova.

Staff at Coombe Hill Nursing Home in Surbiton say they will ransack the attic to find uniforms so they can join in.

Residents at Blenheim Lodge in Adelaide Road will have a banquet of burgers and hot dogs and a sing-along with tunes from both world wars.

The nursing home will also reveal new garden furniture bought with money raised last year, including a greenhouse to grow tomatoes, and a swing and a canopy for the residents to enjoy during the summer.
