It had languished in a garage for years, but now this 1931 Rolls Royce has finally been given the prominence it deserves.
The Rolls is the centrepiece at the newly opened Tolworth Emporium, in the Broadway.
Owner Hilda Fendulky said: “We’ve had a lot of interest – it’s been very positive and people are getting to know us.
“The Rolls is certainly a talking point and has brought people in.
“My husband and I bought it six or seven years ago with the same intentions – to open a shop and put it in there.
“But then the recession came and we thought it wasn’t a good idea.
“It’s been in our garage until now.”
The Rolls had been kept in the Fendulky's garage for seven years before taking pride of place in the new shop
Mrs Fendulky said that, just like everything else in the shop, the car was for sale “to the right buyer for the right price”.
She said: “I’ve been attending antique fairs all around this area for the past four or five years, and organised an antique fair last year in St James’ Church hall in New Malden.
“But it has always been my passion to open a shop.”
Tolworth Emporium is located at 54 The Broadway.
