A man has been charged with a series of burglaries at pensioners’ homes in the Surbiton, Worcester Park, Ewell and Chessington.
Michael Sammie, 47, of Brimsdown Road, Enfield. has been charged with four counts of burglary that started in October this year.
He appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Saturday and was remanded in custody to appear at Kingston Crown Court on January 2.
The burglar was said by victims to have been extremely polite, even kissing them goodbye after tricking his way into their homes by pretending to be a workman.
