About: Originally from Coventry, Clare Keogh moved to Kingston as a student and now lives in the borough with her partner, Alex.
She is an Advice Worker, advising and representing students at Kingston University Student’s Union, on academic and welfare issues.
She is a Politics and Literature graduate and is now also studying Law part time.
Issues she has previously campaigned for include women's rights, environmental concerns, anti-austerity and keeping the NHS public.
Hobbies/interests: Clare is an accomplished Irish dancer; having roots in Ireland she has competed in competitions worldwide and at the highest level.
She also practises yoga daily and is a keen runner, competing in her first half marathon at the end of this year.
She also enjoys reading and films.
She says: "I have a fundamental belief in equality, social justice and environmental responsibility.
"By voting for her me you are taking a stand against this government’s unfair and unnecessary cuts to vital services, vicious attacks on our healthcare system and wilful destruction of our planet in the name of profit.
"I would fight to make sure that everyone is given not just an equal start in life but equal opportunities throughout. I would fight to renationalise essential public services and work to fix our broken and undemocratic political system.
"I am the only candidate standing in Kingston and Surbiton who would campaign for no more cuts."
