Letter to the Editor: Parking pain
I discovered an unclear parking area in Queens and Albert Roads in New Malden.
It says the hours of operation are 8.30am to 8.30pm, but does not state the days.
At the start of the street, it states Monday to Saturday in metered parking bays.
In the rest of the street, the days are not clearly marked, but apparently include Sundays and public holidays.
Innocent car owners are being handed out penalty notices on a Sunday as they think the same rules apply to the rest of the street.
If it is all hours, the signage needs to state it. Why is the council making money from innocent motorists?
