Kingston's ruling Conservatives narrowly missed out on another two seats in the council chamber at yesterday's byelections.
Spots in Tolworth and Hook Rise and Grove wards were up for grabs, after veteran Vicki Harris and Liberal Democrat deputy leader Stephen Brister stepped down.
But Lib Dems Tom Davies and the returning Rebekah Moll triumphed in the end.

- Laurence South – Labour – 853

- Jon Tolley – Independent – 238
Turnout – 65.79 per cent

- Vic Bellamy – UKIP – 514
- Nik Way - Green Party – 206
- Ronak Pandya – Conservatives – 1,579
- Tom Davies – Liberal Democrats – 1,729
- Tony Banks – Labour – 898

- Mike Briggs – Independent – 120
Turnout – 68.82 per cent
