Our former Member of Parliament Edward Davey is a decent, family man.
He helped me on a number of occasions and I felt confident he would help if he could.
After the 2010 general election he was among those Liberal Democrat MPs who broke their pledge on student tuition fees and as a parent I found that unacceptable.
He was loyal to his leader Nick Clegg and once said “I’m part of his Praetorian Guard – to get to Nick, you have to go through me first!”
Sadly Ed has fallen on that sword. The electorate has decided and I wish Ed Davey all the best for the future.
