The Lidl store in Leatherhead Road, Chessington, has allegedly decided that the store needs more space and extra parking (Store wants Lidl bit more, May 8).
It is seeking to expand by buying perfectly good houses in Sussex Gardens, that would be demolished. This is at a time when the council is saying the borough needs more available housing.
Who sanctions this and why? There is already a problem with traffic entering and exiting the store.
