One lane remains closed on the M25 after six people were taken to hospital in the early hours of this morning after a coach crashed on the M25.
The 52-seater Romanian coach was badly damaged after hitting a concrete parapet between junctions 8 and 9 of the M25 at about 1.30am.
People escaped with minor injuries after the coach they were travelling in crashed.
Police are warning of long delays to drivers this morning as investigations continue.
Three lanes have been re-opened on the motorway and one lane remains closed while contractors inspect damage to the barrier following the collision this morning.
The coach was pictured on the side of the road with a smashed windscreen and substantial damage to the front, with a tyre or two in the road. No other vehicles were involved.
Six people were taken to East Surrey Hospital in Redhill with minor injuries.
Officers from Surrey Police arranged for a coach to take the remaining passengers to Clacket Lane Services whilst awaiting the coach operator to send a replacement vehicle.
The passengers' luggage has been recovered from the coach, which was travelling from London back to Romania.
As well as police officers, representatives from Highways England, as well as ambulance and fire crews, were also there.
Officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the collision and anyone with any information is asked to call Surrey Police on 101, quoting incident reference P15195348.
