Work has already begun on the Tolworth Tower development, approved by council committee on Tuesday. 

Scaffolding was seen on the tower on Thursday and CNM chairman Wahid Samady said work has started on the project. 

Following the council's approval for the scheme, he said: "All of those people who have attended, whether we have agreed or disagreed with each other, we all care about Tolworth.
