Cameras set up in woods behind Surbiton station captured a badger nosing around.
The Surbiton Wildlife Group was given some money through the Surbiton Neighbouhood group to enhance the area near Oakhill, off Glenbuck Road, and decided to install four remote wildlife cameras.
The group has a hedgehog officer visiting on April 14, to put in two hedgehog houses.
A badger sighting was reported to the group the weekend previously, and a camera captured the animal on Saturday night.
Other animals captured by the cameras include foxes, squirrels and wood mice.
