Kingstonian fans protested the club’s 10-mile move to Leatherhead at the club's home defeat against Harrow.
Fans displayed banners reading “Leatherhead is too far for an indefinite period” and calling on the board to consider the athletics track at Kingsmeadow for next year’s ground share during the game on Saturday.
Last month, the Ks board agreed a deal with Leatherhead to share the ground from the start of next season with leaseholders AFC Wimbledon having sold Kingsmeadow to Chelsea.
The decision was criticised by some fans for being too far from the borough, with one claiming the move would bring about the “death of the club”.
Fans called for the board to look at other options
Kingstonian’s board defended the decision, pointing to Leatherhead being able to offer Saturday afternoon kick-off times and the quality of the stadium in comparison to fan-favoured choices such as Corinthian Casuals’ ground.
Kingstonian went on to lose the match against Harrow 3-2 despite leading by two goals.
