A honeymoon in Zanzibar followed the wedding of Danny Brierley and Rebecca English.
Mr Brierley, a journalist, married Miss English, a marketing manager, at St Teresa of Lisieux RC Church in Northiam, East Sussex.
The couple and 70 of their family and friends later enjoyed a reception at Wadhurst Castle in nearby Wadhurst.
The bride, who was given away by her father Gerald, wore a traditional ivory dress and the groom a navy suit.
Best man was Christopher Watson, a teacher from Accrington, Lancashire.
Bridesmaids were Bethany English-Smith and Isabella English, the bride's nieces, and maiden of honour was Angela Nicholson, the bride's friend.
People travelled from all over the UK, including Scotland, Manchester, Lancashire and Yorkshire, to be at the ceremony, which was conducted by the Reverend Tony White.
The couple will live in Sutton.
