A pub in Surbiton has been named the most dog-friendly in London.

Wags N Tales on Brighton Road in Surbiton was declared the regional winner of the Dog-friendly Pub Awards, run by dog walkers' network Rover.com.

Competing against over 300 dog-friendly watering holes across London, Wags N Tales secured the most votes of any of them and has since been crowned the champion for 2019.

Renowned in Surbiton and Kingston as a great pit stop for dogs and their human mates, the pub was hailed for its welcoming approach and dog amenities, including homemade treats, dog towels and quiet areas.

"Being dog friendly means having a welcoming atmosphere for dogs of all sizes and breeds, and we are thrilled to be recognised by our customers and Rover.com as the most Dog Friendly pub in London!" Said Rajal Tank from Wags N Tales.

"We hope to now attract even more doggy customers, especially as we are soon launching our doggy afternoon tea menu, and have Santa Paws visiting this Christmas!" He added.

Simon Le Grice from Rover said the competition had shown how dog-friendly London has become in recent years.

"London has a fantastic array of dog-friendly pubs for locals to choose from. It’s been wonderful to see so many of them represented in this year’s awards," he said.

"The community has really got behind their favourite pubs and helped us, for the fourth year running, to find the best of the bunch - and with Wags N Tales, we’ve found just that.

"The superb service they demonstrated shows a real consideration for dog welfare and happiness, which we at Rover value above all," Mr Le Grice added.
