An investigation has been launched after a man was found dead in Surbiton last week.
Police were called by the London Ambulance Service shortly before 3pm on Wednesday, December 18 to reports of an injured man on Mayberry Place, Surbiton.
Officers and London’s Air Ambulance attended. A 39-year-old man was taken to a south London hospital with head injuries. He was pronounced dead on the afternoon of Thursday, December 19.
His next of kin have been informed and formal identification awaits.
A post-mortem examination will be scheduled in due course and the death is currently being treated as unexplained.
Two men - an 18-year-old and a 41-year-old were arrested on suspicion of murder and released on bail.
Homicide detectives from Specialist Crime are assisting the investigation.
