A man has died on Villiers Avenue in Surbiton today (Tuesday, February 25) despite the efforts of emergency services.
An advance paramedic and two ambulances rushed to treat the person alongside a Metropolitan Police car sometime after 3pm on Tuesday afternoon.
Sadly, however, a man was later pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service (LAS) told the Comet:
"We were called at 3:01pm today (25 February) to reports of a person unwell on Villiers Avenue, Surbiton.
"We dispatched two ambulance crews, two medics in cars and an advanced paramedic.
"Sadly, despite efforts of medics, a man died at the scene."
Surbiton resident Kamran Rajaby told the Comet what he saw at the scene.
He confirmed that traffic was still flowing through Villiers Avenue despite what happened:
"There were quite a few police and ambulance vehicles there.
"They didn't close anything off and were treating a patient when I passed, they were letting traffic go," Kamran said.
The Met Police confirmed their attendance at the scene.
