Epsom Hospital has confirmed that two more people with coronavirus have died this week.
A statement from NHS England yesterday said that a further 32 people in the UK, who tested positive for the coronavirus (Covid-19) had died since Tuesday. This brought the total number of confirmed reported deaths in England to 99. One of those deaths has now been confirmed to have happened at Epsom Hospital, where another person sadly died on Monday.
Daniel Elkeles, Chief Executive of Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust said: “Sadly, we can confirm that a man who was in his 70s died on Monday and a woman in her 90s died on Wednesday at Epsom Hospital.
"Both patients were admitted with underlying health conditions and subsequently tested positive for COVID-19.
