Sutton's latest centenarian celebrated her birthday in style, with fireworks set off to mark her big day on November 5.
Winifred Jarvis, who lived in Worcester Park for more than 50 years, became well known in the local area.
The centenarian, who now lives in a Sutton care home, worked in a High Street store and was often spotted feeding birds during her breaks.
A close friend, Jacqui Atterbury, who has known Winifred for 27 years and attended the birthday celebration, said the afternoon was an enjoyable event and was perfect for someone who is so well known.
She said: "She used to work at Caters Supermarket, she loved working there. She also used to go and feed the birds in the High Street and was known by a lot of people.
"The care home gave her a lovely cake. Her family and friends were there and they set off fireworks. It was a good evening."
