SIR. The Second World War Experience Centre was established in 1998 due to the urgent need to collect and preserve memories of life during the Second World War before time runs out.
The archive that holds letters, photos, diaries and tape-recordings is international in scope and is uniquely concerned with personal experiences - classing a veteran as anyone who remembers the Second World War - whether at home or abroad.
The mission is to save material of the ordinary men and women who would otherwise pass unnoticed through history and the centre is keen to gather more information from those who live in the Surrey area.
Perhaps you have memories of the Second World War and would be happy to be interviewed at your home by one of our volunteers, or perhaps you have documents at home relating to a family member's time during the war?
Please call Cathy on 0113 258 4993.
