Multiple people are being treated by paramedics after a serious crash on the A3 near Esher this afternoon (August 14).
The road has been closed southbound since shortly after 2pm, with multiple emergency services including an air ambulance in attendance.
Police have since confirmed a crash happened after officers pursued a silver Mazda which had evaded police, following a 999 call.
A police spokesman said the vehicle had joined the A3 near Painshill southbound and had travelled northbound on the hard shoulder.
The Mazda then reportedly collided with a black Lexus, leaving a member of the public with minor injuries.
No further information regarding injuries has been confirmed as of 4.30pm.

As of 4.45pm, the carriageway remains closed - with Highways England suggesting the incident is expected to clear by 5.30pm to 5.45pm.
