A score of years ago, when Kingston was making new roads in all directions, I sat beside one of the councillors as we drove through the town.
"We have to think of something to go on these new roundabouts," he said - his mind obviously on some sort of abstract sculpture. "Bearing in mind that half a dozen of England's kings were crowned in this town," I suggested "I would have thought that Kingston is spoiled for choice!"
