I write as one of the parents involved in the campaign for a new secondary school in north Kingston - which you wrote about on November 21.
Given the column inches that those opposed to the plan are currently getting, we now feel it important to raise our heads above the parapet and some of the misleading things that seem to be appearing in the press.
In direct response to the above article: 1. A 1,000 place school. This has been often referred to but is not something we have ever requested. It was first mentioned by MP Susan Kramer "the Government will only accept proposals for schools with a minimum of 1,000 places".
2. Susan Kramer has repeatedly said to be "pressing for a new non-selective secondary school for north Kingston".
Meanwhile she was plotting the Grey Court fob off. For her to then claim that Zac Goldsmith is misquoting her is downright false and blatantly playing petty politics.
As yet, with the exception of Tories Dennis Doe and Zac Goldsmith, nobody has been prepared to listen.
