What a nasty letter from Raymond Flogger last week, re the German Market in Kingston, referring to events in the Second World War.

This ended over 60 years ago - I doubt if any of the stall-holders were involved.

Another point to be considered: many of the German people opposed Hitler, but what could they do about it? Some, for example Sophie Scholl and the White Rose group of students, tried - they handed out leaflets and were executed.

Many British people opposed Tony Blair when he attacked Iraq, two million people marched and plenty of leaflets were handed out - but could we prevent it? No. None of us were executed though.

So please let's have no more stupid racist comments in the Surrey Comet.
