"A disagreement took place during which time the customer removed their face covering and began verbally abusing the staff member.
"To add to that the male is also alleged to have walked behind the protective screen during the confrontation. An extremely unpleasant experience for the victim and any other customers.
"We are making enquiries in relation to the suspects vehicle in order to ID the male and working hard to support local businesses who shouldn’t have to be putting up with any abuse from customers," they said.
"If anyone was using the forecourt at the time and witnesses the occurrence please contact 101 quoting 45210006317 or report online or via the Runnymede Beat Facebook page," the spokesperson added.
