All train lines between Norbiton and Teddington stations are currently blocked after a vehicle hit a bridge in the area.
National Rail warned of delays and cancellations to trains in the area Friday afternoon after reporting the incident online.
In a short statement released on their website and shared across social media platforms, a spokesperson for the rail authority said disruption was likely to continue for several hours.

"We have been informed that a road vehicle has struck a bridge between Norbiton and Teddington. All lines are currently blocked.
"Trains may be delayed by up to 45 minutes or be cancelled. Disruption is expected until 15:30.
"For further information or onward travel advice please speak to a member of staff or use a station help point," the statement read.
London Ambulance Service were contacted for comment.
