An adorable series of photos featuring Hobbledown zoo's weird and wonderful animal inhabitants have emerged after the centre's annual weigh in.
The centre remains closed at present amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, but several staff members continue to care for the animals and make sure their health doesn't suffer during lockdown.
Taking to the scales at the most recent weigh-in were the zoo’s reptiles, exotic and domestic animals, who were all counted and and measured too.
Tipping the scales to come out heaviest was Giant Tortoise Max, who weighed in at 27.8kg, who continues to grow and could top 45kg as he ages.
At the other end of the scale were the zoo's minute Whites Tree Frogs, weighing in at just 57g each.
"We always complete a weigh in at the start of the new year so we can monitor the animals health and wellbeing for the year ahead.
"It’s a bit of a logistical challenge because of all the different breeds involved, but it’s something that a few treats can normally solve!"
