A woman was rushed to hospital after a car flipped onto its side in a crash on St James Road in Surbiton Monday (February 1).
Images of the scene sent to the Surrey Comet showed a black-coloured car flipped onto its side and emergency service crews including paramedics and London Fire Brigade (LFB) attending.
The crash happened in the moments before 10.02am on Monday, when London Ambulance Service (LAS) received emergency calls reporting what happened, within sight of Waitrose in centre of Surbiton.
Responding to a request from the Surrey Comet, a spokesperson for LAS said:
"We were called at 10.08am Monday (1 February) to reports of a road traffic collision on St James Road, Surbiton.
"We sent an ambulance crew and our hazardous area response teams.
"A woman was treated at the scene and taken to a hospital as a priority."
LFB meanwhile confirmed their presence and said they had helped free a woman who was trapped by the crash:
"One car had collided with a parked car. Firefighters released one woman who was trapped in her vehicle.
"She was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews," a spokesperson said.
