A warning over the weather was issued for people due to receive their vaccination against coronavirus in Spelthorne today (February 8) after heavy snow made travel conditions difficult.
Spelthorne Borough Council warned those travelling to vaccine centres to get immunised against the virus to take extra care and bring warm clothes after tweeting out a photo showing the borough council building blanketed in snow.
The Met Office issued yellow and amber weather warnings in South East England Monday and their forecasts for wintry showers were proved correct after areas in Surrey and South West London including Spelthorne awoke to snow and ice across the region.
The government weather agency warned that the conditions would make travel on roads more difficult and potentially dangerous.
