A teenage boy has sadly been pronounced dead after he was found in Green Lane Recreation Ground in New Malden on Monday evening (February 8).
Emergency services were seen in the area on Monday night and into Tuesday morning amid reports that the body of a young male had been found in the area.
Police in Kingston later confirmed that a 15-year-old boy had sadly died.
He was found at the park and was "unresponsive" to emergency first responders:
"We were called at 6.59pm on Monday 8th Feb, to reports of an unresponsive male found in Green Lane Recreation Ground, New Malden
We attended, and despite the best efforts of the public who found him and the @Ldn_Ambulance, a 15yr old boy was pronounced dead a short time later," a spokesperson for Kingston Police said.

His next of kin have been informed.
The death is being treated as unexplained, but not suspicious, and a post mortem is currently being scheduled.
The Met's South West Local Investigations team are leading the investigation into the circumstances.
Enquiries are ongoing.

London Ambulance Service (LAS) also confirmed their presence at the scene in response to a request from the Surrey Comet.
"We were called at 6.56pm on 8 February to reports of an incident on Raeburn Avenue near Hogsmill river, Surbiton.
"We sent a number of resources, including an ambulance crew, two medics in cars, an incident response officer, and an advanced paramedic.
"We treated a boy at the scene and took him to hospital."
