The body of a man has been recovered from the River Mole in West Molesey, Surrey Police confirmed earlier today (Thursday, February 25).
A member of the public called the emergency services in to the scene near Ray Road in West Molesey on Thursday morning.
Police later confirmed that they were investigating after the body of a man was sadly recovered from the River.
Officers were called to the #RiverMole nr Ray Rd, #WestMolesey by a member of the public following reports of a man's body in the river at 7.46am this morning. Emergency services attended and sadly the body of a man has been recovered from the river. Enquiries remain ongoing.

Responding to a request from the Surrey Comet, a spokesperson for Surrey Police said:
"Officers were called to the River Mole near Ray Road in West Molesey by a member of the public following reports of a man's body in the river at around 7.46am this morning (Thursday 25 February).
"Emergency services attended the scene and sadly the body of a man has been recovered from the river.
"Enquiries remain ongoing."
South East Coast Ambulance Service meanwhile confirmed their presence at the scene but offered no comment in addition to that provided by the police.
In a later update, a description of the man was published as police appealed to the public for information.
He was aged between his late 50s and mid-70s, they said, with thinning grey hair:
"The man is thought to be aged in his late 50s to mid-70s.
"He is described as white, of a slight build, with very short, receding grey hair and blue eyes.
"He is clean shaven and has a distinctive mole on his back.
"He’s wearing two white vests, grey tracksuit trousers with jeans over the top and black office shoes," a spokesperson for Surrey Police said.
