A large fire has broken out at a garden centre in Shepperton, fire services in the area have confirmed.
The blaze was reported on social media by Surrey Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) who are currently battling the flames at the scene on Nutty Lane in Shepperton after they were called in the moments after midday on Tuesday (April 13).
Large plumes of black and grey smoke could be seen billowing from a building on the industrial estate in the area that one onlooker said was the Long Acres garden centre.
An eye-witness at the scene told the Surrey Comet they could see "large black plumes of smoke, four fire engines now tackling the blaze that appears to have spread to additional building on the industrial estate".

In a statement regarding the fire posted to Twitter, a spokesperson for SFRS said:
"We currently have 12 fire and rescue vehicles in attendance at an industrial fire on Nutty Lane in #Shepperton.
"We were called to this incident at 12.18pm."

They added a warning to residents in the area to close their windows to ward against the risk of smoke inhalation.
"There is a lot of smoke, so please can those nearby avoid the area and close windows/doors," SFRS said.
