According to official government data there were an estimated 5,400 casualties from drink driving on Britain's roads in 2019 alone.
That included some 260 fatalities and 1,500 serious injuries.
As the Surrey Comet reported previously, Surrey is home to two of the most dangerous roads in the UK regarding speeding offences alone.
The M3 and M25 both ranked on the Top 10 list of UK roads with the most speeding offences during 2019 and 2020.
