A man has been charged in connection with a serious assault in Hersham which left the victim in hospital with a serious stab wound.
David Robert Sim, 49, of Walton Park, was charged with GBH with intent and possession of a knife in a public place following the incident, whcih was reported earlier last month on Friday, April 23.
The incident was reported outside a Tesco store in Lyon Road at around 10.30pm that evening, with police and ambulance called to the scene.
A Surrey Police spokesperson said: "Officers were called following the assault which occurred shortly after 10.30pm, whereby the victim received stab wounds.
"The victim was taken to hospital and discharged with serious but not life-threatening injuries."
Police have issued a fresh appeal for information from the public, requesting anyone who may know more of have dash cam footage to contact officers quoting reference PR/45210041947
