Police said they are growing "increasingly concerned" for a man reported missing from West Molesey.
In a public appeal, Surrey Police said that 43 year-old Mark Adkins was last seen on Friday, May 7 as they sought to recruit the public's help in their search for him.
However, without offering additional context the Surrey Police spokesperson also urged people "not to approach" Mark if they sighted him, implying it might not be safe to do so.
"We are appealing for the public’s help in finding missing 43 year-old Mark Adkins from West Molesey.
"Mark was last seen earlier today (Friday, 7 May) and we’re growing increasingly concerned for his safety," the police statement read.

"He is described as around 5 ft 7 of a slim build with a shaved head and brown eyes.
"If you have seen Mark or have any information of his whereabouts, please do not approach him," it continued.
Police instead urged anyone who spotted Mark to "get in contact with us straightaway".
Anyone with information which could help is asked to contact Surrey Police quoting incident reference number P21095967 via 101 or using their website.
