As the Surrey Comet reported previously, police including armed officers "flooded" to the scene of the stabbing at Sunbury Cross on Wednesday (May 19) after they received reports of teenagers fighting at around 5.10 pm outside Marks and Spencers.
During the fight a 19-year-old man was stabbed with a "large blade", believed to be a machete approximately 30cm long.
He was given first aid in a nearby shop and was taken to hospital where the injury was described as "serious", but "not life-threatening".
