POLICE have launched an appeal for witnesses after a woman was assaulted in Epsom on the weekend.
Officers were called to reports that a man "squeezed" the victim's bottom as she was walking on Ashley Road on Saturday ( July 25).
A spokesperson for Surrey Police said: "The woman was walking towards The Parade around 2.50am when a man called out to her from the opposite side of the road.
"He crossed the road and stood in front of her, blocking her way.
"He then squeezed her bottom before running off towards Ashley Road.
"The man is described as Indian, in his early to mid 20s, around 6ft 1 tall, of a slim build, and wearing a light-coloured shirt.
"If you saw anyone matching the above description in the area at that time, or you have any other information which could assist, please get in touch with us straightaway."
