Police are searching for a man suspected of sexually assaulting a girl near the River Mole in Cobham recently.
An 'e-fit' image matching a description of the suspect was released by Surrey Police Wednesday (August 11) as they appealed for public help with their investigation into the assault, which took place last month (Monday, July 19).
The victim was a 15-year-old girl, who near Tilt Road Cemetery in Cobham at the time.
Police said that between 1pm and 2.45pm, the suspect followed the victim to the river, and then began "touching her bum and touching himself".
The suspect now sought by investigators is described as a white man, with short grey hair, around 6ft tall and between 50 and 60 years of age.
"He has a skinny build and spoke with what sounded like a London accent. He was wearing white trainers, a grey Lacoste t-shirt and had on a black Nike backpack," a spokesperson said.
"It is believed that two separate dog walkers may have witnessed the incident and we would like to speak to them as they may be able to help. The female dog walker is described as in her thirties and walking a small dog like a chihuahua and the male dog walker is described as middle aged with a large shaggy dog that looked like a Hovawart," they added.
Anyone who may be one of the dog walkers described, or who can identify the man in the e-fit, is asked to contact Surrey Police quoting crime reference number PR/45210076571 via their website or by calling 101, or call charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
