Two old-school Strictly professionals have announced their second tour – and it will be coming to Surrey.
Ian Waite and Vincent Simone’s ACT TWO tour is set to show at the Epsom Playhouse on November 8.
The pair first toured in 2019 as The Ballroom Boys and are back “bigger and better” as a result of its success.
Ian says he can’t wait to tour again with his “best friend”.
He told the Surrey Comet: “If you’ve ever seen us next to each other, I’m 6ft 5 and he’s 5ft 5.
“We’ve been likened to the new Morecambe and Wise and I think we bring comedy.
“It’ll be an all round great night with lots of variety.
“In the first tour, Vincent did an Argentinian tango at the end which completely brought the house down so this time he’s going to do two.”
Vincent also mentioned his winning tango as he explained more about what the tour will bring.
He said: “We take people on different journeys from Hollywood Hills into really romantic dancing and really dramatic and passionate dancing.
"We've really upgraded ourselves, including my Argentinan tango.
“Lots of women brought their husbands last time who weren’t really dance fanatics but they ended up enjoying it the most.
“It’s been a really hard 18 months so it’s a good night out for everyone, a great distraction and really good for the soul.
“It’s one thing watching people on TV but watching people dancing and performing live is just completely different.
“It’s bigger and better than before.”
Act Two will feature more old-fashioned variety, dance, comedy and song.
The pair said it is a relief to finally be back to normality and on stage performing.
Vincent added: “It’s so good to be going on stage with a live audience that we can interact with.
“We’ve all been in the same boat over the past 18 months so we know how its felt.
“This is brand new and we haven’t performed it yet so we’re bringing a lot more – including a hilarious comedy dance.
“I’m even going to be dressing up.”
Tickets can be booked directly through the theatres or at www.theballroomboys.com.
There are also a limited number of VIP Meet and Greet tickets available at each venue.
