Police are now seeking a man in connection with serious incident in Epsom today (Thursday, September 23) that left a 20-year-old with serious chest injuries.
A CCTV image of a man riding a bike that officers said they now wanted to speak with were published by Epsom and Ewell Police on Thursday afternoon after the investigation into what happened gathered pace.
As the Surrey Comet reported, emergency services were called to the scene on Blenheim and Almond Roads in Epsom after a 20-year-old man was found with "serious injuries to his chest".
Amid reports of an assault, officers and paramedics, including an air ambulance, responded and the man was taken "in a serious condition" to a London hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, police put several road closures in place and launched an investigation and public information appeal.

Later on Thursday afternoon, Epsom and Ewell Police published a photo of a man they are now seeking in connection with the incident.
"We'd like to speak to this man in connection w/20-yr-old man found with serious chest injuries in Blenheim Rd #Epsom 11.25am. Large police presence+enqs ongoing. Blenheim Rd+Almond Rd closed. If you know who this man is, or have any other info DM us quoting PR/P21205052," a short police statement accompanying the image read.
South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene in Epsom on Thursday. A spokesperson told the Surrey Comet:
"Ambulance crews attended and were joined at the scene by the air ambulance service following reports of an assault. One patient was taken to a London hospital by road in a serious condition..."
